Haha. Why do you specify "in the name of atheism"? Because you have an atheistic missionary tactic that's been indoctrinated into you?

Nevertheless, Mao, Stalin, Modern day Chinese government, are all examples of some of the worst atrocities committed in the name of atheism. They were intentionally hunting people in the atheistic propagation by murder, plunder and persecution.

While you so called examples you gave of planes ramming into buildings is such a small number, and done for some ideology, like the LTTE who killed many and grandfathered the suicide belt for their ideology which you as an atheistic missionary seems to conveniently ignore because you are indoctrinated to do so.

    Its pathetic really.

Because 9/11 etc was done in the name of Islam

Because Family Planning centres are attacked in the name of Jesus.

The ones you listed were not done in the name of atheism; they are non-believers who commit atrocities.

Lol. Educate yourself on the matter prior to denying because you have to save your religions face. Acting just like an extremist missionary preacher. Im sure some of your preachers have taught you this. But dont worship or hero worship those preachers. Do your own research.

Then your source of knowledge is too shallow on this particular matter, or you are just in denial like those fundamentalist missionaries who also do that.

"I always flinch in embarrassment for the believer who trots out, 'Atheism is just another kind of faith,' because it's a tacit admission that taking claims on faith is a silly thing to do. When you've succumbed to arguing that the opposition is just as misguided as you are, it's time to take a step back and rethink your attitudes." - Amanda Marcotte

"Original sin," for many atheists, is one of the most objectionable doctrines ever produced by a religion.

I can just see it now -- new mother having just given birth looks at it, and screams, "OMG, I've created a horrible sinner -- take it away, take it away!"

It's odd to me how people react to it but I do always try to keep it in mind that others fundamentally do not view humans this way, for often I forget and it muddles conversations. I do think it would be a nice sobering reflection when one produces a child personally.

In my opinion, it is infinitely more useful to actually try and understand human nature. One could begin with a book by that name by the philosopher David Hume, follow that with another book by the same name by Edward O. Wilson, then Professor Jacob Needleman in his book "Why Can't We Be Good," and then back to Wilson again with his "The Social Conquest of the Earth."

You will come away with a much better understanding of what we really are, then "sinners."

Lots of people have tried to change the world. Do you judge them universally deserving of credit for that?

What, banana pancakes are the atheist's nightmare? Because of Ray Comfort's totally bizarre, totally stupid and inane 2006 video?

I wonder if it never occurred to anyone that the same video also contains that tacit assumption that oranges and pineapples are proof that God doesn't exist.

Sin is a Christian concept, so not applicable to those who don't assign the word any meaning. Christians tend to have a hard time explaining exactly what is sinful as they offer vague guesses at best. The odd thing is that Christians admit to being sinners, but also think they will be in heaven. No believer in sin thinks they will ever end up in hell.

People are catching on to your tricks, and how you try to trap people with misleading arguments and accusations. As we see Altfish outwitted you.

Why do you think they have a hard time explaining exactly what is sinful? The incredible and intricate detail in Thomistic moral manuals for instance makes it seem to me that they can be incredibly precise.

Exactly. If faith is so damn bad and unreliable that even atheists use it, why do theists brag about using it? I love how theists trap themselves with their own traps.
