I hope you don't mind my modifying your spelling and grammar.

The word is used in a few ways. This agnostic atheist has no gods and does not worship, but I do feel a connection with the earth and the other life on it. For some, just being outside of an Abrahamic religion gets that word. For others, there needs to be some kind of religion involved, just not monotheism. So, I'd be called pagan by that first group, but not by the second.

As far as I know, the OP is not a native English speaker. She's doing well.

Misspellings happen, even from native speakers.

I've met atheist and agnostic Pagans, but I don't think atheism is Pagan in itself. Agnosticism might, or might not be, depending on the person with the beliefs.

As an agnostic, I have to say no, but I can only speak for myself. I don't ascribe to paganism at all.

Meandflower Merry Christmas... If you are NOT in the Family of God you are Pagan!
    LOOK..
Matthew 18:17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

They are IN the Family until they reject the beliefs of Christians! IF....

    Meandflower
if outside of the Family of God you CANNOT be INSIDE at the same time!

The word "pagan" was first used around the 4th century CE, by Christians in Rome, to describe people who didn't adhere to their new religion but rather were polytheists -- as the vast majority of the Roman World were, in the first centuries of our era.

As an atheist, therefore -- someone who doesn't believe in or worship any deity at all -- you cannot call me a pagan. I'm not a polytheist, I'm a non-theist. I rather suspect, although the reasoning might vary a tad, the same can be said of agnostics.

You can probably find some but i doubt, that many atheists consider themselves pagans.

I think agnosticism is a 'new religious movement' that originated in England or Wales in the 1970s. Atheism, on the other hand, is a new religious movement that originated in the same decade but in the US. To this day, nobody can find evidence that one was based on the other. :tongueout:

Are you trying to tell me that I must abide only by definitions you adhere to? I did point out that when the word "pagan" was first used, it had the meaning that I gave. You don't like that meaning? Go back to the 4th century CE and tell them to change it. (You'll have to brush up on your Latin to do so.)

Evangelicalhumanist I must add... Atheism is a form of religion.. You have "Faith" there is no God! You "Believe" there isn't a god!
Christians "Believe" there is in deed a God!
    Christians also have "Faith"!

Evangelicalhumanist You cannot prove there isn't a god! All you have to go on is your belief! DON'T.....

    Evangelicalhumanist
don't say "There is no god because I can't see him"! Scriptures are clear "God is spirit"!
