Saying that Christ was a mere man to support the belief that he is, is circular reasoning.

The Tanakh and Hebrew Bible have many of the same details.

Then prove your knowledge base for such by translating the sections of the Tanakh I posted. You have read it in Hebrew, right?

Hey you used an Avodah Zara word in that statement. Keep up the good work.

The Scriptures also say that the Messiah would be rejected by his own people and would seem to fail in his mission but would be a light to the nations.

if Jesus isn't the Messiah, there will never be a Messiah. Jesus came at the same exact time that it was said that the Messiah would come. Daniel 9:25

History does not record anyone, other than Jesus, who was from that time period and claimed to be the Messiah.

Feel free to believe that then because Jesus wasn't. Daniel was talking about someone else entirely. Did you even read what I linked to?

Well, if you mean, during the time period around Jesus, then what about this guy? Or these 3 I found on wikipedia (c'mon...you could have done a little research...)

here is a book on the subject. And another discussion. Do you need me to research anything else for you?

If you want to continue misunderstanding who the messiah will be and what he will do, there is nothing I can do for you.

The Messiah in the Old Testament is described as a Savior. Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Yeshua

Even the Messiah being described as a man of sorrows wounded for our transgressions supports the Messiah being God because only God is a Savior.
