Was it? Or was that just the accusation?
You can research deeper. But it seems it was the case she was a human trafficker and Iranian government and officials even declared it has nothing to do with lgbtq activism but that she was using that it as a cover up for that.

No, it is your claim, your burden of proof. Frankly the Iranian government cannot be trusted when it comes to claims like this.

Why can't the Iranian government to be trusted in this regard? They have the evidence, it's their citizen, I don't have it.

Because they are a regime that has been corrupted by a fundamentalistic approach to a religion.

I thought that you knew that about them. How could you not have known that about them?

I don't think it's that simple. What's the proof that religion corrupts government as opposed to oligarchy structure of the west being what really corrupts government beyond repair?

You appear to be confused. To get normal humans to do evil acts it takes religion. The article in the OP did mention the trafficking charge, but the women claim to be innocent. In any civilized country the standard is the same as in the US when it comes to crimes. The burden of proof is upon the government agency making the accusation. What is the supposed evidence against them? You were defending the Iranian government where is your evidence.

Nice try a laughable Tu Quoque fallacy. No rational is going to bite on it.

I don't know the details, you can research deeper, but just like any country, the prosecutors must present evidence.

I don't know evidence of religion corrupting, but rather the opposite, escaping religion commands is usually what corrupts.

My question to you: Do you demand evidence for every case in US for every crime? If not, than you are biased.

No, no no. You are being silly again. If I express and interest in a case I will want to know the evidence. There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of cases a year and it is impossible to know the status of those.

For example, the only lawsuits that I have been interested in enough to argue about recently are the Trump lawsuits. I want to know both sides of it. Do you know the one group that does not appear to want to know both sides? In general it has been the Republicans. In Trump's first impeachment the Republicans had control of the Senate. They would not even allow any evidence to be produced against Trump. That made a fair trial impossible. A government can both cheat for and cheat against a person. Right now the process is very open, at least for the evidence against him. We still have not heard any evidence for him.

Just admit that you screwed up and do not have the burden of proof to support your claims here and we can move on. Or, even better, provide some evidence that they were actually traffickers. You and I both have to know that claim is highly doubtful.

It's not doubtful to me. I trust the people and judicial system in this regard. It's the western colonialism to make everyone that they don't agree with untrustworthy and criminals.

Why would a religious oligarchy bother lying about the woman being a trafficker? If they want her punished for promoting gay rights wouldn't they want everyone to know that's what they're doing?
