Ah - I get it: because the petrochemical industry has gotten itself into every facet of the economy, anyone who participates in the economy isn't allowed to criticize the petrochemical industry.

Solid point. Way to own North Face.

    North Face is hypocritical.
They're not just criticizing fossil fuels (which would be fine).
They're refusing to do business with oil companies on the
sales end. But they still buy the oil/gas for the manufacture
    of their products.

So, Kudlow's point is that money takes priority over the environment-- whatta surprise. But my guess is that Kudlow doesn't live there.

How much do you rely on products made from the oil and gas industry?

North Face believes this too, since they continue
to use fossil fuels to make their products.

This attitude in some...ie, that all fossil fuel
usage is wrong, & must be opposed is loony.
Better is a goal to cut their usage. It won't
    happen overnight.
I'll wager that everyone siding with North
Face also uses fossil fuels. Are you ready
    to stop cold turkey? Nah.

We all do, for almost everything. That is not an argument against reducing our dependence on them.

How much choice do we have?

There's no hypocrisy in doing the best you can right now while also working toward better in future.

This is misleading (of course, as it is Fux.;))

It is not "the oil and gas industry" that is involved in this petulant protest. It is one CEO of one pipsqueak company, somewhere in the USA. I guarantee you will not find any of the major oil and gas companies wanting to associate themselves with this childish, Trump-like stunt - especially as he seems to want to use it to restart the debate on climate change all over again. Someone should tell him that boat has sailed.

Mind you, I think it was rather ill-advised of North Face to start this by refusing to supply a customer in the oil business. Probably they felt their target customer segment of outdoor types would be environmentally conscious, so it would play well with them. But it still comes over as sanctimonious virtue-signalling, I feel - plus unnecessarily taking sides in this ghastly culture war that the USA seems intent on tearing itself apart over.

What's the matter can stand the truth.....maybe if it came from CNN you would have a different opinion.

My previous post explains precisely why this Fux report is misleading. I did not need to read CNN to find that out. All I had to do is read Fux's own report and apply a modicum of intelligence, plus what I know of the oil industry from my 33 years working in it.

But I did double-check it here: North Face targeted by oil and gas attack ad for refusing to work with fossil fuel companies

So what was the point in adding that misleading caption?
