The Quran was sent down to the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by the Angel Gabriel (peace be upon him), who is the Angel which delivers revelation (as he did to the Messiah: Jesus, son of Mary [peace be upon them both]), on the command of God.

Another thing is that these revelations are the verbatim Word of God, not just "inspired" which can have mistakes as the Christians admit.
