Would it be possible to produce a piece of literature - a pamphlet or a leaflet - that explains one's religion whilst not attempting to convert people to it?

Can anyone point me to some real life examples?

I'm asking because I want to produce such a thing - to offer people who take an interest in a stall that offers prayers

(see this thread for my plan)

I want to explain my religion without outright instructing people to come and join it

Because I think that's kind of rude!

And I wouldn't like people to do that to me very much, although it doesn't really bother me when they do

    Is this possible?

Do you mean here in these forums or out in the real world?

I'm sure a bit of googling will deliver the goods.

I was hoping to tap into RF's great knowledge and wisdom!

All I can find is stuff like "how to talk to non-believers about Jesus" which is not really what I'm looking for, as far as I am aware

I want to be able to talk about such things without being a **** about it

Booklet could be a straightforward Q&A style and include bullet-pointed answers from various denominations.

Yes, making it about Christianity as a whole rather than one tradition/denomination/church would be good!

Perhaps the reader would then be able to seek out a denomination that appeals to them

Yes, but it would be an individual perspective.

Here are some Baha'i examples to choose from.

Pamphlets - Bahaiworks, a library of works about the Bahá’í Faith

In the UK the Jehovah's Witnesses already do this ...
They have 'stalls' and banners usually manned by about two people. I found these on-line photos...

I never thought of the JWs!

They produce booklets written from their perspective that address various important issues

I've accepted them from them before and even read them

    Perhaps I should emulate that

Must admit they don't offend me, in fact I have taken their booklets to find out what they are claiming.

So mental note for me, do not invite Eddi to Baha'i fireside/deepening. :D

Though a polite no is great. ;)

Try writing it like a journalist who is only interested in the facts surrounding the religion, its belief set, artifacts and adherents.

Unfortunately, the moment you inject passion into it is the moment I feel you are trying to convince someone of the virtues of your belief.

Yes, it’s possible. Briefly describe the important elements and information about your religion that you would like others to know. Leave out words like “join,” and “come to Jesus.” Stay away from posing huge questions like “Have you found Christ?” or “Have you repented?” “Are you a sinner?” or “Are you going to heaven?” Just teach/share. Quote a few short scriptures. Share a very short story.
It’s ok to list a number, name, and address at the end telling a person where they can get more information or have further questions answered.

I found a leaflet I picked up at the Montreal World's Fair in 1967. I don't remember what else was in that area. It was a tri-fold pamphlet with the primary title "Meher Baba's Universal Message" It had that message, a picture, some other messages and contact information. It made an impression which is why I still have it today.

    The cover was:
