does seem to be an unwritten lawis the incarnation a form of confinement of the mental in matter, or spirit in the earthly body?
In my understanding of reincarnation you can end up in different form according to how much karma you accumulated during past and present lives.is the incarnation a form of confinement of the mental in matter, or spirit in the earthly body?
I would say spirit in the earthly body. Although I don't see much difference between that and the other.is the incarnation a form of confinement of the mental in matter, or spirit in the earthly body?
It does feel like confinement, doesn't it?is the incarnation a form of confinement of the mental in matter, or spirit in the earthly body?
I'd say 'yes' as incarnation limits infinite consciousness to the capacity of the organism rendering it finite.is the incarnation a form of confinement of the mental in matter, or spirit in the earthly body?
Understand that it is only a mirage and not the reality, then you would not feel confined. What constitutes you is unique with no second and all things in the universe are constituted by that only. Actually, you are the universe. It does feel like confinement, doesn't it?
One interesting question is why is this all limited to just being conscious?Incarnation was a social construct and a carrot and sword scheme for simple folk in another Century. Do good so that you get born is better set-up. Do evil and be born as a cockroach.
On a higher level of understanding, what constitutes you when you die will disperse in the environment and will associate with millions of living and non-living things.
yes.is the incarnation a form of confinement of the mental in matter, or spirit in the earthly body?
so the body is a prison of sorts?I would say spirit in the earthly body. Although I don't see much difference between that and the other.
the mind is willing but the body is weak.It does feel like confinement, doesn't it?
infinite within infinity?Understand that it is only a mirage and not the reality, then you would not feel confined. What constitutes you is unique with no second and all things in the universe are constituted by that only. Actually, you are the universe.
yes.
That question should be addressed to George-ananda and not to me. I believe that a persons consciousness is erased at his/her death. I am not a believer in such esoteric things as "Universal Consciousness". For me, it is woo.One interesting question is why is this all limited to just being conscious?
The relationship between being conscious and non-conscious are dynamically intertwined.
Yeah, you can put any number of infinities in another infinity.infinite within infinity?
is the incarnation a form of confinement of the mental in matter, or spirit in the earthly body?
you can't get out of your body
so the body is a prison of sorts?
After death or destruction, the atoms disperse and join with millions of living and non-living things. That body or thing will never be recreated. I die, my atoms disperse. No more aupmanyav then, the Aupmanyav story is finished. But part of me may be in a cockroach, in a fly, in an elephant, in the world's most beautiful woman, or in a flower, in a mango leaf or in a bamboo. I will be omnipresent, just as I mas made by a millions of things, ovum, sperm, food, air, water, etc... if it continues to reincarnate indefinitely because it never wakes up?
Yes. But I prefer the second formulation.
Some people can and accurately report what they see in other rooms. NDE's for example.
The body is a vehicle to use to walk the spiritual path. It can be seen as a coat that the spirit soul puts on for a journey into material form. A sense of being imprisoned is a natural reaction in some people some of the time.
I would say it's more like a veil. I might say that the spirit of God was veiled in the flesh of Christ. In other words, the glory of the spirit of the Father was veiled in the flesh of Jesus.so the body is a prison of sorts?
It can't be like a grave... Isaiah 38:18, we can indeed praise G-d.so kind of like hell, or the body is a grave?
From what I can tell, each incarnation is a fresh start with new circumstances. It's not like riding the same roller-coaster over and over. Each time is different.if it continues to reincarnate indefinitely because it never wakes up?
