No, not exactly. The book of Enoch however explains that the "sons of God" (genesis 6) were actually angels that left heaven and came to earth. They taught humans forbidden knowledge including magic. Since then fallen angels have continued to teach magic.

The Book of Enoch was written from 300 to 100 BC and its just a collection of folktales and legends. Its not canon for Jews or Christians.

Does it matter? Magic is a deception to keep people from God.

In the New testament there is also a word for sorcery which is related to drug abuse.

I just thought it would be interesting to know.I think it was the devil who taught us magic. But I am not sure.My theory is God made the devil have supernatural powers from the beginning. And he thought them to us.But sense it is not in the bible. It's still just a theory.

Jesus is called a sorceress in Isaiah 57:3. He learned magic in the decade he spent in Egypt during his childhood. According to God, witches/warlocks are supposed to be killed. Magic is a Satanic counterfeit of the miracles and power of God.

It appears that the practice of magic originated in Babylon which was after the flood of Noah's day. It is possible that the demon angels may well have been the ones who promoted the practice of magic.....the abuse of supernatural power. The occult is a practice of the "hidden" sources of this power.

When mankind again rebelled against God after the flood, the demons made sure that their influence among the disobedient would again lead people away from God and true worship.

It almost should be related to drug abuse, considering Jesus would have been aware of drugs, as were his ancestors.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hi.../crime/history-of-heroin-morphine-and-opiates

The earliest reference to opium use and the cultivation of opium poppies comes from Mesopotamia around 3,400 B.C.

The ancient Sumerians—who inhabited the southernmost region of Mesopotamia in modern-day Iraq and Kuwait—referred to the bright red poppy flowers as hul gil, “the joy plant.”

Opium cultivation spread to the ancient Greeks, Persians and Egyptians. Opium use in ancient Egypt flourished under the reign of King Tutankhamen, around 1333-1324 B.C., and the Greek author Homer referred to opium’s healing powers in the Odyssey.

It may very well have been that the forbidden fruit in the garden of eden was an opium poppy, considering that opium is from the very region where the scriptures were written.

Weren't those people all destroyed in the flood?
Surely Noah sons did not practice magic.

The Bible does indicate that these were practices of the nations, so people who did not worship Jehovah learned it from somewhere, and it makes sense to me that since God condemned it along with spiritistic practices, then those who did not worship Jehovah, learned it from fallen angels. Deuteronomy 18:9-14
In fact, it was to these that people looked to for fortune, and power.

Yes they were. However in Genesis 6:4 it says "and also after that" so it is indicating in my opinion that there were also giants after the flood. Which means that another group of angels came down again afterwards and did it again. This explains why the people saw "nephilim" in the promised land and reported this to Moses. Then you have giants such as Og king of Bashan and the "sons of Anak" among others mentioned.

As for Noah's sons practicing magic ... well most likely not. But, that doesn't mean some of their descendants didn't. Ancient writings from Mesopotamia indicate that some people knew how to read writings (such as clay tablets etc) from before the flood. So this means they could have found writings and learned what people were doing before the flood.

Yes so they say; but that doesn't mean there isn't truth to it. In my opinion the people who wrote the book of Enoch must have known some things we don't know now. So there is value in reading it. But of course we can't put it on equal footing with the Bible. I use it to supplement my understanding of the Bible. Not to replace it.

The forbidden fruit is identified as an apple in the scriptures. SOS 2:3, SOS 2:5, SOS 7:8, SOS 8:5. Proverbs 25:11

The biblical koine greek word pharamkeos from which we get pharmacy is used for sorcery
Pharmakeia - New Testament Greek Lexicon - New American Standard

in modern greek sorcery would be magiya from which we get magic
Galatians 5:19 in NIV translates pharmakeos as witchcraft

In general magic is 'my will be done' but Jesus prayed 'Thy will be done'
There is a different focus on which way one is going
