Impromptu Poems

Thief

Rogue Theologian
a sudden inspiration ….and I dealt the following
I made it up
line by line as I typed

but the event happened....and continues
here you go...

I felt it coming
though I saw not
a twist of fate
a change of plot
I lay beneath a night time light
and touched upon my pending plight
wounded deep but did not bleed
I lay helpless and in need
and to this day when I regress
I cringe to dwell upon the mess
I walked away from what should have killed
I did not sweat, I was not chilled
and Death does follow
a playful joker
to call my bluff as
we play poker
he overshadows my bed at night
when I awake
he takes flight
he pulls my pillow from beneath my head
I turn to face what I dearly dread
but as I open my eyes to see
he has vanished
he did flee
but now and then with bold affront
he takes hold and does confront
I have wakened to myself at rest
as a dead man
hands on chest
the pillow tucked beneath my head
I lay as if a man be dead
the red blanket drawn and smooth
a point of which I can't disprove
he wore red as he took my arm
I awoke with much alarm
Death had laid me down to rest
but not to die
only for jest
hehehehehehe

This one, just for another thread :)

I see naught but a world full of love,
alighted by a white dove.
A world full of genuine caring souls,
liberated and free of the ways of old.
Thus the hand of God is in wide embrace,
Choose your path, choose your fate. :D

come 2 me
little scone
your time was short
your life is done

i lift u up
and put you down
bright blue berries
nom nom nom

friday afternoon
snacky time
my carb obsession
relentless and sublime

summer days
long and warm
conversations
upside-down

i'm on the outside
i'm inside out
turned around
a leaky garden spout

words are pockets
packets are soil
this weeks over
i surrender the toil
