When humans qualify the Abrahamic God, are they not reducing god to an image? an image of a person for some?

Isn't qualifying god adverse to exodus 20:4 "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.

Aren't we told that God has an image, and that we were created in that image?

the hebrew word comes from a root word meaning to shade, or shadow. like an eclipse. so are we like the moon to the sun. or like a distortion of the light wave collapsing in space/time to what is the invisible and we being the manifestation? like an aspect of the spectrum being distorted through some other contrast of the spectrum?

Ahhhh..the image that we shall not see !
No idol shall be made of same !
The voice that exists only in our minds !
The true transparency of life itself,
that truly inward view !
