There are a great many "Buddhists" who do not like to be called "Buddhist" or do not want their leanings being called "Buddhism". What's in a name? Also, "Buddhism" is very fluid, but assigning it a name makes it sound fixed.

Buddhism does have its Four Seals that distinguishes Buddhism from "sorta looks like Buddhism."

Thanks for posting this, but my experience is that, whereas the first three are pretty much agreed on within the various rafts, the final one (nirvana), is somewhat more contested, including some not even being certain it exists.

Now, what both of us need to remember is that there really is no binding creed in Buddhism, therefore one can and should challenge any teachings, including the list you gave.
