That’s very good for this thread, because I meant for it to be a parody of some other threads.

I meant for it to be a parody, but not to exclude serious discussion.

Would depend on what type of dabating it was most likely.

There is discussion that contains clashes of differing opinions. I see no issue with that, as long as no animosity arises and both are amicable.

Then there is arguing, that is unproductive, one can even say both would be wrong.

Actually, I see many other possibilities.

    Regards Tony

I would love to parody myself!

    Have I succeeded?

Incidentally, this thread has nothing to do with my denunciation of cruelty and personal attacks.

No, because I already answered that question in this thread, at least three times.

And you dont think theres a chance someone might confuse a hostile debating style with a personal attack? I wouldnt be sure.

No ,its an interesting irony. The guy who is trying to get others to reduce or stop personal attacks openly admits his sometimes hostile debating style could be confused for personal attacks! Physician heal thyself springs to mind

Since nobody has directly experienced God as a person or object you can claim God is love or anything else. God is in the rain. God is part of children. God is the feeling of joy we get from basking in sunshine on a cool summer day.

I think God is every possibility all at once. God is both something and nothing all at the same time. God's presence can be experienced. And at the same time God transcends everything, including love and hate, and is beyond our comprehension.

What someone believes to be true about God is a choice. If your choice is God is love then good for you!

You should visit a Jewish Yeshiva (religious college) once. You'll lose your hearing from all the loud arguments (and these are people that mostly subscribe to the same views).
