If Love is Madness

My words may sound extreme.
My thoughts may not make sense.
They might be from a dream,
or from some lit incense.
They might be stupid or
completely idiotic.
They might be truthful or
perfectly melodic.
No matter what they are.
They must be true because
even from afar
they hold their ground and cause.
If love is madness, then
I should be committed.
I’m mad and always been.
I just admitted it.
So if my love for you
is madness? Then so be it.
I’d rather be a loon
than be alone without it.
I know this all seems grand,
and too good t’be true.
Of all things in the land
to choose, I do choose you.
You’re softer than spring grass,
or baby puppy fur.
You’re cuter than my last
two baby kittens were.
I love you more than love
itself. If it could be.
A sign from up above,
It does then reassure me.
This love, it is so pure,
angels show their jealousy.
Within this love, a cure
does lie for everything.
I love you through and through,
through thick and thin and more.
And I will always love you
forever and ever more.
