I see no difference between the two options. It's as calling the same thing by two different names and expecting someone won't notice.

I'm torn on the question, as I don't really hate or fear all spiders.

Okay, I'm ready to form an answer. It's:

I think from what we know from the Bible, the Abrahamic God is scary enough already, that making him a giant spider, won't alter my perception.

I don't remember where I read it or who wrote it, but I remember a short story where Christ, being a celestial being that was a savior for other species in the Universe as well as for humans, came back in the form of a giant praying mantis-like creature.
