Iblis is an Atheist (know your enemy)

He disbelieved in Allah and his proofs and became stubborn to the signs of God. His dialogue with the voice of God through the veils, is sarcasm.

He wishes to prove that the God of Ahlul Bayt, the first house enjoined on humanity and Jinn, are wrong and that whether they believe they are right or not, he don't believe in their God, and that all started with him not be able to comprehend the choice of God with a lesser form or vulnerable weak form sentient be as opposed one from the Angels/Jinn. And if you disconnect from the highest proofs of God, there is no way to know God.

He believes in hell and the Angels will create it, but he doesn't believe in God as that is the Lord in control of universe.

That said, he calls his party knowing the order of the universe is what it is. He is willing to misguide humans and create havoc, to prove his point that Adam was not worthy nor should it be other then Angels.

He has a great portion of Jinn following him, because, he makes himself their advocate and because he live a long life. Yet he didn't see that Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) would be what they are today as well, and unite all Sunnah of Prophets through the help of Prophets, and through Qur'an become something even beyond all that. A lot of Jinn change side through Sulaiman true, but more so with Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) and the way they attack those who try to steal hearings. This is a power a lot recognize cannot be that of one of them nor a human nor a creature by their own acquisition. That is why Qur'an says to Mohammed "we sustain you", because the Risqallah is proof of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), and Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) are proofs of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى).
I
mam Ali said when Qur'an was revealed, Satan actually moaned a great moaning, and it was due to realizing he would not be worshiped. He just trying to delay the victory of Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) as long as possible now, or force oppression on believers so that God who is obligated to deliver them destroys most humans as a result.

The thing is he witness miracles of Moses and Jesus, but he don't accept that their power is from Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) directly. And that is part of why he fell, he didn't see that all the honor he earned was not his own, but through Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) grace and sustenance.

His asking for delay, is knowing Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) have most of the high council (who are Angels) on their side, but I do believe some Angels did fall from grace as Qur'an confirms the Bible in that there was a dispute in the high council as Iblis rebelled.

When Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) chooses from Angels, it's due to Isma, but Iblis was an Angel, but not a chosen one. He was the father of all Jinn including Angels, and Angels could have mostly failed the trial.
When they passed, a lot were proven worthy of chosen positions. At first they all passed except Iblis, then Iblis caused some to fall, and there was a dispute in this high council.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) chooses from Angels, but not every Angel is chosen, just like not every Saint of humans is actually chosen.

Iblis reached Angelic position, but he fell. And if the all the type of signs, from holy books to miracles, to their explanation in holy books, to the unseen type signs, can't convince this fallen creature, the order of the universe is controlled by the ultimate being, then nothing can save him.

Of course, Iblis knows this order, so when he makes people disbelieve in Angels and miracles and Prophets, and they think it's all fairy tale, he does so by deception while being in the fray of ancient battle and he does so while fearing the Lord of the worlds, who in his eyes, is Mohammed from one perspective, but from another, he believe himself to be the one who ought to be worshiped, but he don't believe in the ultimate one is the source of Risq of Mohammed and that the power Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) have is not acquired.

Also he asked for the day they are raised, but Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) semi granted him his request, he actually did respite him, but the Mahdi will kill him and the Dajjal. When the Mahdi rises, he will kill Iblis and free humanity from the curse of dark magic upon the hearts.

Iblis sees the 12 Imams in Qur'an, he is highly intelligent in this sense and that is how he and his party perform sorcery to lock the clear book and keep people from perceiving the true insights and signs.

The Jinn who follow him, the Qur'an warn them he only calling them so that they can be of the companions of the fire, but they think he is sincere to them and he promised them to overthrow Jibrael and Michael and
Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) and the order of the heavens and Earth.

He make it as if he here to free us from the order which sort of like how Budhist believe the world as is is maintained and created by an evil demon.

He don't believe in the order of heavens and Earth, but he don't believe he can defeat Mohammed and Ali either. If he believed the actual God was on his side, he would be believing he can defeat them.

Iblis is an Atheist from one perspective, in the sense, he don't believe in an ultimate being, he believe he is to be worshiped, and don't believe the connection of God's signs to God. He only fear God in the sense, that he believes Mohammed worships something through his faith so fears Mohammed's concept of God, and sees Mohammed and his family as the carriers of the throne, but through and through he is a disbeliever and don't care about Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى).

To him, the order of heavens and Earth was all wrong, and how can it be right, and how can it be really Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) who choose Adam over him and the rest of Angels. How can not be a Jinn when humans are vulnerable and wreckless and weak and have little ability compared to Jinn. Obviously the fire type creation would be closer to God if there was an absolute being, then a vulnerable clay weak creature in his view
Iblis don't believe in Tawheed at all. If he can destroy Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) and Angels, and overthrow the order of the universe, he would, but he can't. He sees those sincere to the Lord of Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) as fools, but also sees those deceived by him as fools, he just love to see everyone and make everyone into a fool.

It's absurd to try to put a human label on Iblis (atheist), and Iblis certainly believes Allah exists. He knows full well, but he rebels. (and then later you say he fears the Lord of the worlds.)

And he is definitely not an angel. He is a jinn. Nor is he the father of the angels. There is no conclusive evidence that he is the father of the jinns either.

What do you mean "chooses from angels because of Ismah"? Angels are created to obey Allah alone. They're not like humans.
