A question that more and more often come back to me when i sitting and thinking about life is.

Why are people so "obsessed" about telling other people that their belief in a God or a Buddha, or any other deity is wrong? Who is it that deside someone is wrong in their belief?
It is non of my business to even ask this question, so this is why i put it in Journal section.

I am sitting here thinking, Ok i believe in the sufi teaching, and Allah tells me it is right path for me to be on (through the teaching) But who the heck am i to tell a Christian, Jew, Baha`i , Buddhist, Hindu, Atheist or any other form of a belief in something or nothing, that they are wrong  What do i do the last day of my life and i get to know all my life i been accusing others for being wrong, then it turn out I was the one who was wrong  How imbarrasing isnt that gonna be

Actually, i should know the answer to this questions (i dont know it) because i used to be one who accued others of being wrong in their religious belief. And to this day i dont understand why i did it.

Should not each person be the best version of them self? No matter their belief in any religion, or no religion at all?

I am sure i am not more or less right in my belief than any other person, but isnt it freedom to believe in any Deity or no deity at all that you want?

Go the zoo and observe the apes (as soon as that's possible again).

When people invest their ego-identity in a religion, conflicting beliefs can be threatening, especially if the infidels seem to be living happy, successful lives, despite their heresy.

Unlike well evidenced, testable beliefs, faith is a house built on sand, easily toppled by any threat. It must be vigorously defended.

Quite possible here -- but the apes are required to wear masks.

I think going to town is enough to see a lot of apes. Even though they were mask, at present, in some countries.

Free animals do it also when they live in groups or families but it's more obvious when our cousins do it. Members of the group, usually youngsters, get reprimanded for deviant behaviour. The group, as a whole, tries to establish coherency and conformity. We, at least many of us, still have that urge in our genes. It is a knee jerk reaction to scold "deviant" behaviour. "What? You want to buy a Toyota? We all drive Volvos, get with the program."

If i had accused others, and thought my belief was better then theirs, and it turn out i was wrong, i would be imbarrast of having accued others of being the wrong once

Your mother never told you to dress a certain way or behave a certain way "because we all do it"?

I don’t think this is as prevalent in day-to-day life as it is here on this forum.

But it is ego that compels one to tell another that their beliefs are wrong, and it is that same ego that makes that judgment.

In my experience, those that allow the ego to manage them are the ones who are the “obsessed,” while those that have learned to manage the ego are content with leaving others to their beliefs.

There are also those that are obsessed with those that tell others that their beliefs are wrong. ;)

Well, I am confident that all religious beliefs are equal. There is none better than the other. And for that reason, they deserve the same amount of respect.

Beg to differ, Viole. They are not, if they go against science.

Do you know of a religious belief that does not go against science?

Religions exist in Vyavaharika, in the perceived world not in absolute truth. There you just have Brahman. ;)
    Yeah, Advaita Hinduism (non-duality).
