I want to learn Spanish and Portuguese

The best times I had were with a half Mexican, a Gibraletean, a Brazilian and a Portuguese.

Brazillians speak Portuguese
Every other South American country speaks Spanish

Not learning it to go to Europe

I suggest you to learn one language at time.
They are so similar, and you might confuse verb conjugations and vocabulary.
:)
Just an example, apellido in Spanish means surname but apelido in Portuguese means nickname.
