Well it's day 4 now and I'm still enjoying it, the people are great and the job is easy as far as jobs go.
Basically it's order picking from sheets and putting said picked items into a box ready for the packers, yes it's boring but as I said, the people are great and I just keep my head down and work.
i think the only thing that's slightly disheartening is what some of the prisoners get, they get treated better then our soldiers in Iraq and something about that seems wrong, very very wrong.
Forgive me for being naive but isn't prison meant to be about punishment? Aren't human rights outside the bounds of being fed and clothed meant to be kind of dropped the moment you become a criminal?
I think I'm really dreading around Christmas time when these criminals who are meant to be being punished are ordering electrical items from catalogues.
But I'm trying really hard not to let that get to me while I work my *** into the ground so I can get a nice shining reference from then when I decide to leave, which I'll be looking into after Christmas, on moral grounds I don't see myself wanting to last longer then that doing what I'm doing for the dregs of society. These people even have such little regard for us people doing this work for them on the outside that they still expect us to work and deliver on Christmas day, now doesn't that say it all? Really?
