    Why do Eastern Orthodox people celebrate Christmas on January 6 instead of December 25? I have always wanted to know.

    I am not EO, though considering I think there is no more EO Christians here anymore, Ill give your Q a shot.

    I think it has to do with how they use the Julian calender as compared to the Gregorian Calender we use here in the west.
