I Bought My First .50 calibre Assault Rifle Today!

Hell I'll buy my shotgun from Walmart.

Ironic isn't it? All those weapons and nobody thought of grabbing one to stop the shooter. Probably didn't want to get sued or prosecuted by the Socialist Democrats as illegally acquiring a firearm.

I could just picture the sign above the counter.....

IN EVENT of EMERGENCY

"It's only okay to stop a rampaging shooter in the store as long as you go through the proper paperwork and wait times before acquiring the gun legally from the counter and stopping the Carnage".
Wal mart policy is that you can´t unlock the guns, or spray paint, unless you have a customer.

Hell, stopping a mass shooter by opening the gun case could get you fired !

50 cal is around 2.5x the size of a 30.06. Not much use here in the states but for show.
Kind of like a stock truck that's jacked up 4 feet off the ground, it's a fix for a small dic.
Yes, it is whoppingly large cartridge. I live in rural Arizona, and in 5 minutes I can be in the desert where there is no one in any direction for 50 miles. Of course obtaining and affording the cartridges is extremely problematic. Bench rest shooting has always been my favorite firearm sport. I salivate at shooting targets a mile away.

I think you are just "funnin" us. Perhaps it is a Colonial Era Muzzleloader? Other than that, the only 50 Cals I've seen are a Barrett, or a Machine Gun. It's been about 50 years since I saw that Machine Gun. Fired a three round burst.

I think that perhaps the Barrett is illegal for civilian use?

I'm guessing he is referring to a sniper rifle?

I've never owned a .50 cal before but it seemed interesting and I had the money so I figured what the hell I'll buy it. I can play with it for a while and in a few years maybe make a few extra bucks on my investment or trade it for whatever strikes my fancy at the time.
Thoughts?
What will you use it for?
