Just kill and nail one up on your barn roof, squirrels won't bother you for about a year, crows are the same. It is a fact

As an experience squirrel hunter I would have to say that that might be a tad too much gun for squirrel. You would never know if you actually hit the squirrel. No, I take that back. If you find the squirrel after the shot you clearly missed.

Why would you want to do that? Squirrel are right tasty if cooked correctly.

It is a fact that there were no Nazi bunnies. Bunnies were all allied underground.

I used to like to go crow hunting.

I agree, it always seemed a waste of meat and a life, out of one of a hundred it seemed a small sacrifice (except to the individual animal in question!)
Soak them in salted milk for a day, then slightly braise them and then put them in a crockpot with mushroom soup undiluited, throw some potatoes and green onions in for good measure and include some greens on the side.
    Tasty meal for sure!

I wish I still had my AR-15. The real one not the style type . That was way back in the 80s before all this Assault Rifle crap came out. I was still in the military at the time where you could walk through the airport with your weapon to check it in at baggage.

I'm probably going to be purchasing a bolt-action rifle or a breech load shotgun in the future. My wife is okay with it it's my late father-in-law was a military man and guns were not unfamiliar. She likes the idea. I would personally love to have a classic Winchester repeater or a World War 2 Garand because I find vintage weapons pretty fascinating and nostalgic. There's always something to be said for a single shot shotgun too.

I have a Hazmat and a TWIC card so getting a gun shouldnt be any type of problem as the background checks are the same.

Have a lot of safe fun shooting the rifle. .50 cals are really nice for big game and the variety of targets you could shoot can tickle the imagination. You ought to find a gun club and have a lot of fun and socialize with buddies at the range . Shooting competitions are a blast. Pun intended. *Grin*

I don't know why , but watermelons are pretty popular these days. *Grin* .

Never had rabbit But for a while on our farm we had beagles They did not need a gun to catch a rabbit. We had a half a mile driveway to walk down to catch the school bus. The beagles would follow us for the first half until we hit a patch of scrub woods. They would then take off and do their own thing. Occasionally we would find tufts of rabbit hair on the gravel, and once, a whole rear leg. For some reason I am pretty sure that one did not get away.

I prefer lamb meat with a tomatoe cream sauce, a good one almost tastes Indian.

Definitely not. Broiled a rib eye tonight. Not even close, even though it has been a good thirty years or more.

I forgot about the sniper club. *Grin* I'm still miffed at not being able to qualify as expert whenever qualifications came up. I was one shot away from it, one shot!!!! Stuck forever offically as a sharpshooter. Oh well.

One thing I never did was fire a musket. I've always wanted to. It's got to be a lot of fun to be dressed in Period costume And letting loose with one of those things.
At least it gives me time to think about if I want to be a Yankee or Confederate, or Blue coat or a Red coat at a reenactors Club.
