What are you favorite hymns and other religious ballads?
I have many favorites, most of them by Sami Yousef. My favorite Islamic ballad from Bosnia is Dosta mi je Allah moj (All I need is God).
However, the ballad I want to share with everyone, the one I believe is truly the most beautiful musical dedication to God from this part of the world, is actually a Roman Catholic ballad.
Kako da zivim bez njega o Boze (How do I live without God). Ironically, the woman singing it is a Croatian artist and amateur porn star. A video tape of her having an affair with a businessman who was married at the time was stolen from her boat. But when I hear her story, it just says to my heart that she has even more right and reason to sing about God, and how hard it would be without him.
