"son" - singular "man" plural but I think He is speaking in general term

Interpretation. As generally interpreted by Jews, "son of man" denotes mankind generally in contrast to deity or godhead, with special reference to the human weakness and frailty (Job 25:6; Psalms 8:4; Psalms 144:3; Psalms 146:3; Isaiah 51:12, etc.)

It says "man" and "son of man" so that is probably what it means.
It means that God is truthful even if us humans might find justification to lie at times.
It does not mean that God cannot become a man.
And even when God did become a man, son of man, He did not lie.

The term " son of man" was merely a cultural term. The term was used to refer to oneself as being a humble man or 'I am just a man'......Having now read @Fool, I prefer his explanation 'a person in general' to my own definition.

God is the Father of all humanity because He created us all and gave us our life.
Jesus did not say that all men are gods. He was speaking of Psalm 82 where the Jewish Judges were called gods and that would be because they were doing the work of judging,,,,,,,, the work of God.
Jesus is the special Son of God. He was never created (in fact it was through Him that we were created) and was with the Father from eternity and comes from the Father, in fact is in the Father. He is the heir of all things.
God gives us humans the opportunity to partake of His Sonship even though we were created.

jesus, a man, can be a god but other men can't be gods? jesus was judging and even sitting in the synagogue debating scripture with other judges.

the bible doesn't agree with you. you've either been taught this, or made it up yourself.

the bible would be a liar; if god made jesus special, since it says god is not a respecter of persons

unconditional love doesn't discriminate. if it did, then it would be conditional vs unconditional.

fyi, jesus was patterned, or created after the order of melchizedek. so no, jesus isn't unique.

Where did Jesus say that all men were gods, where does the Psalms say that?

you quoted it then mangled it.

but here is another instance of a man being associated as a god/angel.

    revelation 21:17

in the hebrew the word angel = god

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

When we look up the quote (Psalm 82) we see that it is about the Jewish judges.

    The word angel means messenger.

How does Rev 21:17 do what you are saying? The angel is an angel.

A human as an adult and not natural life position.... a baby. Is identified as a human the son of a man is my human sexually conceived human baby boy.

    Notice...not a man.
Notice...baby first itself owner cannot claim I'm a son or a boy baby either.

Consciousness. A self human first and only.

No name use. Correct advice only.

Ask a lying human theist aren't and didn't you try to identify who you never were?

You know not ever existing first.

    Yes is the correct answer.

as explained to you, in the hebrew angels/gods are interchangeable. evidently you have forgotten the sons of god in genesis.

    H430 - 'ĕlōhîm - Strong's Hebrew Lexicon (kjv)

    Psalms 82:6

so then, mankind is both human and divine

son of man simply means son of adam. the carnal part of a person comes via adam and the spiritual part through the Father of all.

O God was named by man as earth plus its heavens.

Topic subject no man is included in that status origin terms.

A human is free willed as we move.

Unlike God terms we aren't fixed bodies.

    We use bodies.

So we are both a human but use gods own. Allowing us to be with God as origin terms claiming divinity.

Now if you ask why did any human have to make a human claim as life on earth. To be claimed God is ours divine?

As cosmic star theists referenced hell as beginnings and not God earth rock.

A fixed body a sun is a consuming God.

Our earth was once a consuming god....then became healed rock.

So we were told the exact reason why you don't convert God earth back in time. As it was self consuming.

Angels are created beings and so are humans. Angels are spirits and we have a spirit. That does not make angels or humans gods.
There is one true God, no created beings are God by nature.

Jesus used the quote and now you're nullifying your own scripture and savior. Jesus was created, the heavens and earth were begotten. The form is created. The Spirit is god's; which wasn't created

Jesus body was created and so Jesus as a man is a non created being stepping into creation because of His body.
Jesus was begotten as a man and that means that He came from God (since He is in God) and took on the form/body of a man.
Humans received spirit/life from God but that does not mean we received God's Spirit. We did not come from God as existing beings sent down to earth. The life force from God animates the body and becomes our spiritual soul imo but does not begin as anything but a life force.

So did everyone else too. The Bible tells you, God created everything. What makes you think something took it away? Something made God impotent?

The Bible tells us that nothing came into existence without the pre human Jesus. He was not created, He has always been.

No it doesn't. The logos was created in the beginning. It doesn't say it wasn't created unlike god.. and again Jesus is a form, a formed thing. Humans are formed.
