Humanistic Jew?

For someone who considers themselves to be a humanistic Jew...in your own words...can you summarize your religious beliefs?

I'm curious.

A good question is what is a humanistic Jew? Is it one who has the humanistic aspects of secular humanism, or the archaic aspects of the old medievel humanism?

I've known several Jews who strongly identified with their Jewish heritage but weren't religious at all. And then there's archaeologist William Dever, who is a convert to Judaism but is a non-theist.

Maybe there aren't any humanistic Jews on RF yet.
