In recent months, my short-term memory has been deteriorating, and my ability to recall information recently read is horrendous for being only in my 20s. Ordinarily I would consult a doctor, but I am fairly certain that the cause of the memory difficulties are due to an increase in stress, as well as a much busier schedule and more chaotic lifestyle than I have previously had, and a decrease in sleep quantity and quality. In a perfect world, I would adjust my lifestyle to increase the amount of sleep that I get and reduce the business of my schedule, but unfortunately that is not feasible for me right now. I am nearly finished with completing a difficult degree, and having previously been a straight-A student, my grades have started to become affected. My logical reasoning skills are off the charts (not to brag), and I can read and fully understand and absorb difficult material. So understanding of concepts is not an issue. However, very frequently I can spend over an hour reading about a topic and be fully absorbed in the content, but forget all of it within the span of several hours, even if the topic was something I was interested in. Anyone else have this issue? Any supplements, tricks, or brain hacks to help combat the forgetfulness?
