How To Handle A Traffic Stop Cop

That just cannot be assumed. Sometimes they just think someone looks suspicious, this person gets searched, and is arrested for the "crime" of possessing donut glaze that allegedly tested positive for drugs on a field test kit.
He did absolutely nothing wrong but now when he is asked "have you ever been arrested" he has to answer yes.
Surely that is a flaw in the justice system, if he was arrested on suspicion of something, but later turned out to be nothing, then his criminal journal shouldn't show anything.

It should be that way (and ask specifically if you have been convicted of a crime), but America is scarred ****less to do anything that might be remotely construed as "soft on crime."

He can hire a lawyer and get the record removed. But why should he have to pay big bucks just to remedy a mistake the cops made? The law should be a total removal of any record due to police error.

Ideally, he should be compensated by the
cop for the damage done.
Police unions are a big hurdle to justice.

Agree, again seems like a broken justice system.
