Join a political party. We have several in the US, and it would be good if there were viable choices other than the Big Two.

All of the following received at least 1,000 votes in the Nov. 8 election (altogether, the non-D/R vote for collected about 7 million votes, or 5.3 percent). You can choose from:
Republican
Democrat
Libertarian
Green
Better for America (GOP alternative)
Constitution
American Independent
Socialism and Liberation
Liberty Union
Peace and Freedom
American Delta
Reform
Independent
Socialist Equality
Legal Marijuana Now
Socialist Workers
American Solidarity
America's Party
Socialist Party of America
Prohibition
Independent America (not to be confused with the American Independent)
Veterans' Party of America
American Party (South Carolina)
Nutrition Party

There used to be a Natural Law Party, but I don't see them listed this year...

Find a billionaire that shares your views. Become best friends with them, letting them know you are down for the cause. If that's not possible, indicate to their 'friends' who can speak with, that you are willing to be a slave/soldier for the cause. I'm sure you'll be used well.

No idea what I'm doing in this regards. Thoughts?

Come up with a sort of ideal "shopping list" of ideas you'd like to see. Then see if a particular group, party or viewpoint accepts them. Wiegh up joining if you want but look for a group that has most on the list or the one you feel are most important- you won't get everything.

over time research to see how practical these ideas are. Be prepared to revise these ideas as you get new information, influences and ideas. Its worth reading opposing ideas as well to get a more rounded view.

[p.s. get legal advice before joining a communist or far left party in the US. Its a minefield: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/amp.usatoday.com/story/1940865/ ]

If you don't want to join a political party just yet, consider donating to, or otherwise supporting, any of the various organizations, such as the ACLU and Planned Parenthood, which will be in the forefront of the coming battles.

It just seems to be a lot of talking and no action or results

Have you considered going door to door to get people to join the Green Party? I'm not saying you should, because I don't know Curry County, but I'm wondering whether you think that would be effective.

Also, what about setting up a Curry County Green website?

No. It's a red county.

Making a fb page as we speak. I haven't made a website since freewebs.com was new and I was showing off in school.

I find that because politics is often slow and ponderous this feeling accumulates over time when not getting the opportunity to do something personally. And that's further exacerbated by being in a town not politically aligned with you.
Sometimes what can help is to take a personal project like volunteering by phone with an advocacy group or seeing if there are any anti-bullying school advocacy or pro-science advocacy you can do there. Even something as somber as working with suicide hotline ultimately helps me break the feeling of being in a political rut.
