Respect, you say? Where's my respect when you ask me such questions and refuse to support them with evidence? Huh?
Okay, it depends on context, setting, and subject. When it comes to subjects I'm especially passionate about, such as feminism and LGBT rights, I'm much more inclined to argue but still stick to evidence than I would with a topic I view as largely morally inconsequential, such as whether aliens exist. I'm also not likely at all to argue over a family dinner (including for safety reasons), but I freely do it on the forum. That's where setting and context come in.
And then, of course, there's also the whole question of argument versus debate or discussion: I often prefer the latter unless I believe calling out or condemning a certain opinion is more useful or necessary than discussing it. An example of this would be openly racist or sexist views espoused by someone I viewed as intentionally and actively malicious rather than merely misinformed or indoctrinated.
I'd rate myself around 60% because, while I have a lot of strongly held beliefs, I strive to always remain open to evidence and logic. I'm situationally argumentative but not dogmatic, or at least I try not to be.
I'd rate you at around 65% or so from what I've seen of your posts here. You can be quite passionate in disagreement, but I've never thought of you as someone who ignores evidence or sound logic to maintain his beliefs.
