Maybe I can get an approximate idea by picking a thread that gets a lot of attention and say something that's guaranteed to trigger a lot of knee-jerk responses.

There's a guy at my workplace who kind of ignores me.
I mean, he seems to like me, because he often approaches me and starts talking to me.
But he's just a terrible listener and can't seem to read people at all, making me feel like I'm more of a projection screen to him so he can talk to an imaginary friend of his...

I know someone like that.

I tend to do obnoxious but otherwise harmless things(burp, dance with the cats/dogs, jump up and down with the children) when they're trying to put their imaginary friend face on me so the mask doesn't fit and then they go away and see who else it might fit on.

Easy. Just put them on yours. That way whatever they blather on about, just goes into the Void. They cease to exist and don't needlessly waste your brain cycles anymore.

Well I've been banned one, two, three...okay maybe even more times than I can count so that put me on everybody's ignore list at least one, two, three...or more times.
