You forgot Ragnarok.... Hmph
Be ever watchful!... is a reasonable length of time to wait for your Second Comin / Messianic Age / Rapture / Kingdom of G-d / Bailout?
I'd actually argue that Christianity dealt with this in the first century when many expected Jesus to come back in their lifetime and he didn't; you can see subtil changes in Paul's letters once he's realised he's likely going to die before Jesus returns. He seems to be making provisions for Churches and individuals for the longer term. There's more to this but I would suggest Christianity, not sure about other religions, dealt with this at that time.Follow up: What happens after the time is up and nothing has happened?

Any minute now ...... is a reasonable length of time to wait for your Second Comin / Messianic Age / Rapture / Kingdom of G-d / Bailout?
Here's a gentle reminder from Jesus [Luke 17:26,27]:Any minute now ...
Any minute now ...
Any minute now ...
Any minute now ...
Any minute now ...
Any minute now ...

.
Then I wish you a lovely rapture!Here's a gentle reminder from Jesus [Luke 17:26,27]:
'And as it was in the days of Noe [Noah], so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Even so shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.'
Jesus says, 'the same day that Lot went out of Sodom', which is, I believe, a reference to the rapture. So, maybe the warning, 'Any minute now ...' will be on the tongues of those that have 'eyes to see'!
Revelation 22:20. 'Surely I come quickly. Amen.'
