How Does One Actually Love YHWH/Jehovah?

Tell us what you do to live a holy life.

Tell us what you do to live a holy life.

Because you are empty, you cannot speak for Christ.

Certain kinds of people worry about the "tone" of what is said. Are you one of those?

Paul wrote....."make my joy full by being of the same mind and having the same love, being completely united, having the one thought in mind. 3 Do nothing out of contentiousness or out of egotism, but with humility consider others superior to you, 4 as you look out not only for your own interests, but also for the interests of others."

Do you do this? Or is yours a more

approach?

So, if you worshipped and adored pitiful people, then you would be worshipping and adoring Christ. You said it, not me.

I said no such thing, please don't put words in my mouth. Jesus said we are to do good to his brothers....so who are they and how do we assist them? How do you personally assist them?

Do you keep His Commandments? Just answer the question with facts. Try not to speak milque toast excuses from church.

How about you answer the questions that you pose to others?
Did Jesus ever hold an inquisition? That is what your posts seem like to me.

Which of His commands have you ever in part obeyed, other than to not steal, not murder, and not commit sexual sin?

Which of his commands do you obey? How would we know that you obey any of them, or that you aren't just an internet con artist?...or a hypocrite?...or just a very disagreeable individual who is at war with the world? Please understand that you have no status here. You are just another opinion among many. Why the need to come here and throw your condemnation around as if you are somebody?

You may well be just a legend in your own lunchtime.

All of your statements are pure speculation from a busy imagination.
Actually no. That you cannot tell is unfortunate for you, and your interest is just to turn this whole conversation into a discussion of commands, a subject which you feel is your strong point. You repeatedly return to that. The title of your next threads will probably seem to be about various topics but will again return to this one subject in which you feel yourself to be strong but actually are not. Its called bait and switch, claiming to discuss something but actually trying to draw people into discussion about something else. It suggests disrespect for other people and a need to be right about something rather than a search for friends and new knowledge. Its also an alpha sort of move, attempting to make yourself an authority, a poor substitute for actually knowing things.

The Bible tells us
Please notice here neither the generic "god" word nor the specific title of "God" is being used. This discussion is not for those who worship and pursue "gods and goddesses." It is for those who are the People of YHWH/Jehovah. His commonly used title "God" these days is far too easily mishandled and misrepresented.

The question here is, "Given the specific definition of Agape provided in 1 Cor. 13:4-8, what is to be materially done to Love YHWH/Jehovah, other than merely talking about it, chatting with one's ideas, and having nice feelings?"

Harrison,
The Bible actually tells us exactly what it means to love God, we must obey His commandments, 1John 5:1-3.
This means that we obey His commandments that are covered under The New Covenant instituted by Jesus, on the night before his death, at the Lord’s Evening Meal, Luke 22:14-20, 1Corinthians 11:23-26. This New Covenant Superceded the Mosaic Law Covenant, which ended at Jesus’ death.
There are some things that were reiterated by Jesus that were in the Old Mosaic Covenant, but that is because these things were also in the New Covenant.
The New Covenant was a much better Covenant because it was based on the precious blood of Jesus, not on the blood of goats and bulls as was the Mosaic Covenant. The New Covenant wa also based on FAITH, not on Works, as was the Mosaic Covenant, Hebrews 9:11-15, 8:1-13, Galatians 2:16. No one could be completely saved through the Mosaic Covenant, but only through Faith in Jesus Ransom Sacrifice, 1Timothy 2:2-6, Acts 13:37-39.
