How does a Qur'anist pray?

As salamu alaykum,

I have a big question for people who are Qur'anists. How exactly is it that you are supposed to pray, according to the Qur'an only and not hadiths? Is it just like making du'a or is it different in some way?

Thank you for the video! That was very educational and it sounds like the way I was taught to pray fulfills all of the requirements that are listed in the Qur'an. Good to know!

A common perception is that the procedure of establishment of Salat (Namaz) is not in Al-Quran. However, with some deeper study, we will be able to find the procedure of establishing Salat in Al-Quran as detailed below.

The Book tells us that Allah made Ibrahim the Imam for all mankind (2:124). Allah also established Place of Ibrahim (Muqam-e Ibrahim) in Masjid ul Haram. Ibrahim was ordered to keep the House of the Lord purified for the people who do prayers and Tawaf (22:26). Ibrahim established from his progeny in the valley of Makkah for the establishment of Salat (14:37). Allah orders to take your Musalla/format of Salat from the Place of Ibrahim in the Masjid ul Haram (2:125). This format or Musalla therefore should be a complete system of salat which is and will always be established in the Masjid ul Haram by divine intervention. All People are ordered to take up this system. Then the Book tells us that there will be people who will be opposing this system (by providing an alternate format of prayers) these people will imply that the Walis/protectors of Forbidden Mosque (Masjid ul Haram) are not the rightly guided ones (8:34). But Allah confirms that the Salat of those people opposing the Forbidden Mosque is like whistling and clapping of hands (8:35) . Allah’s order is to become a part of the Masjid Ul Haram i.e get connected to the Masjid ul Haram and follow the established system of Salat in that Masjid, wherever you are or from wherever you come out (i.e from an alternative system of salat) (2:150). The same Ayat indicates that people may argue with you against your Salat (urging you to adop their procedure) however, your argument should be that your procedure of Salat is based on the Ayas of Book of Allah (2:150).

Praying in the Arabic means to follow closely. So how do you pray, or in same words, how do you follow God closely?

By reading the Scriptures.

Avoid these sectarian prayer methods. Every sect has its own prayer method. Sunni, Shia, etc. and even sunnis do not pray in 1 style. There are four schools of thought about laws etc., Men made laws. Which have no bases in the Quran.

They are a fabrication. So avoid it. Be pure, a monotheist, like Abraham. Read Scripture alone.

There are 3 times of praying. Morning, afternoon and evening.

Read the Previous Scriptures as well. This way you will understand the bigger picture. Such as the Tora, Psalms and the Gospel. David prayer 3 times a day as well, so did Daniel etc.

And the Quran mentioned also only three.

Stay away from mosques, churches, synagogues etc. Stay away from Sunnis, Catholics, Pharisees etc.

Basically, stay away from organised religion.

Pray at home. Educate yourself. Your parents. Your wife. Your kids. Thats enough homework for now.

Dont sell your soul to these sectarians who are blind sheep being herded by Satan.
