How did the chicken learn to cross the road?
Let me ask it to chicken, Oh! wait it didn't answer me backVeeeeerrrrryyyyy carefully.
Many chickens lived long before the automobile was invented. Some had genetic mutations for red stripes, some for extra-loud clucking, some had a mutation that allowed them to dodge cars better than the rest, others had a propensity to leap at fast-moving metal objects.
Until the road was built, none of these genes mattered.
After it was built, 200,000 random chickens tried to cross the road. 199,980 were turned into chicken patties. The surviving population of 20 chickens had a much greater proportion of car dodgers, and these mutants were therefore able to pass on their genetic makeup to following generations.
or, if that is too much to handle :sad4: ** POOF!! **. God did it!
