It does not. We all are what we are ranging from (never) 100% male to (never) 100% female. I think sex develops after insemination. Just as heterosexuals should be respectful of the other sexual orientations, the other sexual orientations should also be respectful of the heterosexuals. That way we can live in peace. Hindus have deities with undefined sex and Brahman has none. :)
