It has an equal armed cross with 3 having circles in and the top one a snake.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you very much

It seems to be some sort of pagan, or occult symbol, associated with magic, or witchcraft.

Maybe the circles represent the trinity or the perfect union between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The snake, I'm not so sure. I know in Paradiso when Dante meets God, he (God) is represented by three circles.

What do you feel it means?

Symbolism is created through cultural and/or personal stories. That means the meaning of symbols is not a fixed or rigid thing - it's something we create. It can be interesting to study various cultural usages and associations with symbols, though. I can't say I've run across the exact symbol you post in my studies, but I've definitely run into elements of them.

Hello all! Thanks for your replies. It was for a ring I bought. And i could of guessed when it said millennium in the listing.
I thought it was a snake too.

The seller since told me that to make silver hallmarks more genuine they usually date when it was made and as it was the millennium they worked it into the main design.
Have a look at the listing for a better photo as can't use upload image on my phone.
Phew glad it wasn't a dodgy religion anyway!
