When you ask religious people "what is heaven or hell?", usually they give responses such as: "If you do good in your life, you would go to heaven. If you do bad, you go would to hell.". But never do they mention what is good or what is bad, how they are defined or how they are differentiated.

I have been thinking about The "Good or Bad" for a long time now and here is what I have come forward to:

There is no good or bad, but good and bad. Everything that happens around you, at any time is good and bad at the same time. If you punch the wall and say "Damnit, this was a bad action.", is it a good or a bad thing? Well, again, its both. When you punch the wall with all your strength and express all the anger you have. You will feel nice about it that you have strength, which is 'good'. But then at the same time, you break your fingers and your hand starts bleeding the pain kicks in, which is 'bad'. Or no, not bad, but good because you'll have learned that you shouldn't be punching a concrete wall with all your strength for the next time you get angry, which is a 'good' thing ...

Another example could be; you're walking down the street and you see a rabid dog, if you don't kill the dog it will kill two children. Would you rather choose to kill the dog or let the children die?
Let's open this up a bit... If you kill the dog, you will save the children, this way you would have done a good & a bad thing. Now one day these children grow up and become cruel and torture animals or maybe even others younger & weaker than them. In this case you would have done both a good & a bad thing by saving the children from the dog. If the dog killed those children, they wouldn't have been alive and wouldn't become cruel, which would keep the victims from getting hurt.

Long story short, What I'm saying here is that when you say Good or Bad, you are saying Good & bad. Because the 'good' always travels together with the 'bad' and vice-versa. Without good you wouldn't be able to call the bad, 'bad' and without bad you wouldn't be able to call the good, 'good'.

This idea, concept, whatevery it is called, basically destroys the idea of heaven and hell. Since HEAVEN is supposed to be for the GOOD and the HELL is supposed to be for the BAD. If good can not be without bad then hell can not be wihtout heaven, and vice-versa.
Basically the idea of Hell & Heaven is destroyed by this logic.

I know that many people will be against this idea, because of their arrogance. But hey you better try learning something rather than keeping an isolated mind.

Let me know what you think about this.

Every choice has a cost associated with it, meaning a consequence of some kind, (bad).

Hopefully folks take the time to weigh the possible good and bad outcomes of their choices to make sure the good outweighs the bad.

Every 'bad' is followed by a 'good' and every ' good' is followed by a 'bad'. meaning that there will always be a (+) and a (-), in this case how do you decide that the choice (you/they)'re making is the best one?

Like when I wanted to purchase a used car. I looked up what several cars of the make, year and model I wanted went for. Was even able to haggle with the seller based on the information I found out. Thereby avoiding getting soaked by paying well above market.

No one in their right mind would even slowly roast even a bad vicious dog alive.

Often I find there are religious people confusing the Bible's hell with a non-biblical hell teaching as being Scripture.
The Bible's hell is simply mankind's stone-cold temporary grave for the sleeping dead according to Jesus as found at John 11:11-4, and at Psalms 6:5; Psalms 13:3; Psalms 115:17; Psalms 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5.
When KJV translated the word Gehenna into English as hellfire that put the so-called flames in hell.
Gehenna was simply a garbage pit outside of Jerusalem where things were destroyed forever Not burning forever.
Sinner Satan will never go to hell because according to Hebrews 2:14 B Jesus will destroy Satan.
ALL the wicked will be ' destroyed forever ' according to Psalms 92:7.
We are given just two (2) choices at 2 Peter 3:9 to either ' repent ' if we do Not wish to ' perish ' (Be destroyed).

According to Scripture Jesus did good during his life on Earth.
Can you think of anyone righteous who goes to hell ? _______
The day Jesus' died, according to Acts of the Apostles 2:27, Jesus went to biblical hell.
If the Bible's hell was a permanent place then Jesus would still be in hell.
Since Jesus taught sleep in death, then Jesus believed while in biblical hell he would be in a sleep-like state.
Just as we are Not aware of the passing of time while asleep, then Jesus knew nothing while in the grave.

As far as Heaven, according to Revelation 20:6, there are some people who will have a first or earlier resurrection.
They have two (2) jobs to do in Heaven according to Revelation 5:9-10.
    1. They will serve mankind living on Earth as kings taking care of governmental responsibilities for people on Earth.
    2. They will serve mankind living on Earth as priests taking care of spiritual duties towards people living on Earth.
The majority of people will be resurrected back to happy-and-healthy physical life on Earth during Jesus' coming 1,000-year governmental rule over Earth. They will make up the humble meek people who will inherit the Earth.
Enemy death will be No more on Earth according to Isaiah 25:8; 1 Corinthians 15:24-26.

If one uses Jesus as one's teacher then one's best choice would match up with what Jesus taught.
When Jesus taught about hellfire he was teaching about Gehenna.
KJV translated the word Gehenna into English as hell fire.
Gehenna was simply a garbage pit where things were destroyed forever, Not kept burning forever.
So, Gehenna is simply a word for destruction, as in the wicked will be 'destroyed forever' as per Psalms 92:7.
So, biblical hell has Nothing to do if one's choice is either good or bad because biblical hell is simply: the grave.
The temporary grave for the un-conscious sleeping dead - Ecclesiastes 9:5; Psalms 115:17; John 11:11-14.
Dead Jesus spent time in biblical hell because the day righteous Jesus died he went to hell until his God resurrected Jesus out of biblical hell. If the Bible's hell was a permanent place then Jesus would still be in hell.
I find Romans 6:7; Romans 6:23 to be of interest because it says that ' death ' is the price tag that sin pays.
It does Not say that there are any post-mortem penalties after death. So, to me the best choice to make is the one found in the 1st-century teachings about death as Jesus taught, and to do good as Jesus taught such as found in the NEW commandment Jesus gave at John 13:34-35 to have the same self-sacrificing love for others as Jesus has.

I think it's arrogant to assume that only arrogance and not logic would be reason to disagree with you.

Your argument rests on the assumption that good and bad are two separate qualities that are always present. Another possibility is that everything is good and bad is only a temporary medium to good results or a deficit in perception, not an objective quality.

Your application of good and bad to heaven and hell are also faulty. You started off with examples of a single action having both positive and negative qualities and you compare them to two separate entities with either a positive or negative quality. If examples of negative qualities in heaven (such as the inability for further spiritual growth) or positive qualities of hell (such as the application of justice) are provided, your argument falls apart.

Your conclusion that Heaven and Hell can't exist because they are co-dependent is a does not follow the entire previous post. You have not explained why Heaven and Hell can't be co-dependent.
