I'm a very strong believer in the Bible (I do accept that there are errors). I see a book of scripture in the OT teach something and Christ confirm it in the NT. It goes along with other statements in the Bible:

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

I will stick with that the Bible says.

Yes, I have had thoughts that I was Jesus in my youth.

However, I did not take it seriously. I'm not. :)

An Exaltist, in my point of view, is simply just someone who sees the divinity in things that other people don't see as divine. You can't really exalt God because God by its very definition is something that is already exalted. Exalting Jesus is unique to Christians, but exalting common things and the common man makes you Exaltist because most people don't find anything special with things that are common. Of course, I am not saying that you are my type of Exaltism, or an Omnitheist, but using the Bible to exalt people is Christian Exaltism.

No. Many people think that I am God, and they call me 'Lord.' I simply smile, point to my nametag, and say, 'It's pronounced Lloyd.'

I'm just kidding about the God/Lord/Llyod thing. Nobody believes that about me, and my name is definitely not Lloyd.

In all seriousness, I have never believed that I am God or any deity.

That is something that I like about you. You believe in God rather than believing that you are God. :)

No. There is an ancient Christian doctrine called thesis, which is about the soul being made divine through the grace of God but it's not the same as humans literally becoming deities.

Unfortunately, this teaching has been mostly set aside in the West, but it's still very strong in Eastern Christian theology.

I think most atheists unknowingly set themselves up as gods criticising and even intimidating, belittling, disrespecting and undermining people who have a belief.

    I definitely don't think I am a God.

However, I do believe that many millions of years from now after many lifetimes of development, some of us will become Gods. (I think some Mormons believe this too).

    First: No, of course not.

Second, I can't help but notice your "just for the record" comment. It's like the person trying who goes to the lawyer and says "my friend, who is really not me, wants to know if this is illegal..."

Rubbish. How does an atheist "set (himself) up as god?" when he doesn't think such a thing exists.

Have you tried reasoning? It can be very satisfying, and only requires a little honesty.

Yes, I used to quite often but I was under the influence of funny chemicals every time. It was centered around the idea that this consciousness I'm experiencing must be the only thing that exists, which was clearly a fantastical concept.

By ‘God’ I meant a ‘know it all can’t be wrong’ attitude. I found that my stubbornness in clinging to my atheist views was bordering on that but gladly discovered I was wrong so now I realise that I was just stubborn, arrogant and closed minded. Now that I have found the truth I realise how closed minded I was.

Good reasoning saved me from clinging stubbornly to my atheist views and awakened me to the truth of Baha’u’llah. If it wasn’t for good reasoning I would spiritually dead like most.

Never, but I am Brahman. You are that too, even a rat is, because Brahman alone is what exists.

vācārambhaṇaṃ vikāro nāmadheyaṃ mṛittika iti eva satyam.
    "

O Son, it is like this: By knowing a single lump of soil you know all objects made of soil. All changes in name are but distortions in the manner of speaking, soil alone is the reality.

Fascinating. You have discovered how stubborn, wrong, closed minded, unreasoning you were. But how? What "truth" did you actually discover? You claim "the truth of Baha'u'llah," but you don't provide anything other than the bald statement that that was "truth." As if nothing else ever was!

That is NOT discovering "truth." That is deciding what you are going to believe -- for no reasons other than your own, and for no reasons that you seem willing to share with us here.

And I'm sure that's lovely for you -- but what would make anybody else care in the slightest?

And finally, your statement that you "would be spiritually dead like most" is completely gratuitous. How do you know who is "spiritually dead?"

What hubris. Do try to get over yourself.
