The means to an end is not different from the end....so one must be as peaceful as the peace of heaven in order to enter into the peace of heaven... :)

Or after you cross that line....it might be exactly what you want...you just did not know what you wanted prior to that.

with religion as a practice there would be expectation.
what if the expectation proved otherwise?
or perhaps the expectation plays to a greater level?

What if a person's chosen religion was out right wrong and another completely correct. Or what if all were right because the afterlife is not as inflexible as life itself?

Are you implying that people will have a choice?
here in this life we seem to.....
you say as you please....for the most part
you do as you deem proper.....as you are able

what if greater disciplines are required?

walk among the angelic?.....with grace?.....as if we belong among them?

There is undefined expectation....heaven is unknown to the senses of the human being, and unimaginable to the human mind....the important part is not having explicit expectations about the hereafter, but in the here and now realizing a state of being worthy of the unknowable heavenly hereafter..

you are suggesting?.....preparation with no expectation?

I would counter....any preparation carries expectation within it

so do you believers look forward to...

rings on your fingers and crowns on your heads?

wandering about in grassy meadows ....like sheep?

standing in choir and singing praise like a broken record?

sitting at the Table not properly dressed?

That would be delicious. I love Burger King. Eternal Whoppers. Mmm.

Dear god... That'd be hell for me. XD

Nothing gives me gut pains like burger king... Not exactly sure why that is, either. I suspect they put something in their meat, since it only happens with their burgers (minus the veggie). =/
