Has The US Just Declared War?

Trump Says US Will Not Leave Iraq Until Baghdad Pays for American Air Base, Threatens Sanctions

The Iraqi parliament on Sunday voted to expel all foreign troops from the nation's territories and cut off ties with the US-led international anti-terrorist coalition after Friday's assassination of Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the elite Quds Force of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Baghdad, by the US

US President Donald Trump was referring to the Balad military base that houses US forces some 50 miles north of Baghdad.

“We have a very extraordinarily expensive airbase that’s there. It cost billions of dollars to build. Long before my time. We’re not leaving unless they pay us back for it [...]

We will charge them sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever. It’ll make Iranian sanctions look somewhat tame”, Trump said Sunday, while traveling back to DC from Florida.
Earlier in the day, Iraq’s parliament voiced its support to a recommendation put forward by Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi to order the withdrawal of US-led coalition troops from the country and ending cooperation with the international coalition.

Charging Iraqis for the privelege of occupying and killing them, then wondering why they aren't grateful. #violentlyAmerican

Trump said it cost billions of dollars to build.

Long before his time.

Back in the Madman Hussein days.

"We’re not leaving unless they pay us back for it"

Sounds fair to me.

It would be too easy to kick us out, and then keep our stuff.

Oh, the US paid for a military base in Iraq while Hussein was the leader, did they? Good one.

I wonder how this will affect impeachment.
Nah....I know how it will.

Chris Wallace: “Do you think, as misguided as it may be,
that some of our enemies think President Trump is more vulnerable because of the impeachment?”

Pompeo: “You should ask Mr. Soleimani.”

You don't know that. The Iran military isn't just the official and regular Iran military. They do have allies in other nations, have extremist groups they can call upon, and other extremists who will join in without being asked to get a chance at fighting against America. Remember al-Shabaab? They look to be siding with Iran. As is Hezbollah. Iraq PMs are addressing demands for American troops to leave. Iran has such a large pool to recruit from that outside of their head people (and presumably a handful of spies) no one will know who his replacement is until its been made. This means we don't know what experience, blood lust, cruelty, battle prowess, and military strategy and tactics will be filling that spot.

If someone has been the king for 50 years and they die, you lose someone with 50 years of experience being the king. The prince cannot possibly have 50 years experience of being the king so you know you have lost something regardless of the merits, or lack thereof, of the prince. You could have 1 million princes to choose from and it would make no difference to this.

Some experience can only be gained in the role itself and cannot be learned via teaching or observation. His job is unique, so no one else can possibly have the experience that he has.

Trump should shut up and think.

"His enormous influence has even led to limited cooperation with the Americans. In spite of his involvement in attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq after the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, and his unconcealed loathing for the U.S., Soleimani cooperated with the Americans to elect Iraq’s interim prime minister in 2010.

At the U.S.'s request, Soleimani also ordered the Mahdi Army, led by the separatist Iraqi Shi’ite Muqtada al-Sadr, to stop attacking American targets in Baghdad. And when the U.S. invaded Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, Iranian officials – on Soleimani’s orders – gave American representatives a map of Taliban bases to target in Afghanistan."

Tulsi said this was going to happen 6 months ago.

1. Trump got out of the Iran nuclear agreement.
2. Imposed crippling sanctions on Iran.
3. Declared the Iran military as "Terrorists".
4. Kills their top General
5. Sends thousands of more troops to the area.
6. US airports and Federal buildings are now on Heightened Alert.
7. Esmail Ghanni, the General who just replaced Soleimani, vows revenge on the US.

Yeah. This was an act of war by the US. A war the will be the most costly, bloody, and devastating than Iraq or Afghanistan. A war without clear purpose or a clear definition of what "victory" is.

Argument by analogy?
I'll play too!
The king has been at it for 50 years, & is a tired doddering old layabout.
But he has 37 young aspiring royal children & grandchildren ready to
reinvigorate his campaign of death & destruction. They make up their
inexperience with youthful energy & lust for vengeance at the king's
murder.
Killing the king is the best thing to do if you want more carnage..
