Interesting opinion. Anyone who can move objects with their minds I'd be hard pressed not to believe it was tapping into some kind of supernatural power. maybe we need a word between the two to describe this kind of power.

Demons is a religious concept. I don't believe in demons. I wonder about malevolent entities, however. I'm not an atheist.

I thought it was spooky...I was definitely not pushing/pulling the thing, and I couldn't figure how my cousin could possibly be doing so without me telling...

that was, however, the only time I've ever used anything like that.

No. But I do believe there is superstition around it. For example, if I asked what my aunt is doing "wherever" she is and all of the sudden I hear her voice or her favorite sports game comes on television or even something more stronger, mother calls me up and says "do you want the oujiboard I have (nice one too) I may put in my will," I could say it's because of the board. Though, personally, I'd say that's the same if I said it in prayer, ritual, or dance the jig. Just the board would be the fastest association I would make (if I were to do that) because of the superstition that's behind it.

If it was a monopoly board or better yet, an iron board, and I asked it the same question and got the same answer, would it be the board? Devil? God? My family member? Or just a creepy coincidence?

I see the ouiji board as a game. It (and anything) can be used as a channel for anything supernatural good or bad, but in general, if I did get an answer I didn't associate it with the board. I bought one awhile back and returned it to the store. My mother's is made of ivory or marble (can't remember) and highly expensive. She was into witchcraft years ago and I picked it up that way. I had a christian friend who wouldn't even be in the same room as the board.

However, if it had a good history and no superstition behind it, I wonder if people would be that reactive or just throw it away as a useless set of materials.

Unlikely. That's been 50 years ago...still feel no need to play with one again...

No, I know when I'm dealing with demons. They tend to make it obvious, and I'm not stupid.

Well, if you ever decide to give me a holler. I'm curious but I don't want to tread dangerous water without someone I know on board. :)

So then I take it that stuff like the event starting at 1:43 of the video below is just trickery.

The thing that messes with my mind are reports that some people who fool around with a ouija is that people claim their friends starting acting strange like they were possessed. probably HS but still I get nervous about that.

A lot of people are scared of them...but some people who are scared of them don't get scared if you say you're using an angel board which is the same thing. Just do your research on the dos and donts. What energy you put out you draw back. If you can't get rid of your fear don't use one.

I tried it by myself and got no immediate response. The planchette wouldn't move. I'm apparently not the type that would move it subconsciously. However I do think my effort stirred up something and I did get a couple delayed paranormal events as a result.

Here's a story I shared before. It involved requesting signs from a known prankster spirit named Erik of Channeling Eric

I experienced what I believe to be two pranks by Erik.

The first was my neck pillow I use when on the computer. It went missing and I tore the house up looking for it. And then there it was in the back seat of my car. I live alone and verified the only other person with a key was 100 miles away.

Of course my mind hounded for a normal explanation. Maybe I wore the neck pillow out of the house, realized it and chucked it in the backseat. Or somehow it just landed there when I went out with it on. However, with either of those explanations, the location in the car still didn’t really make sense.

I humorously called out, ‘Erik, is that you?’. No audible response of course.

A day or two later, I pulled my car into the same place in the garage and went to open the garage door to the house and it was locked. I never lock that door from the outside and it would have required a conscious effort against all my normal routine of doing things.

I then said ‘Thank you, Erik!’. I later learned that throwing deadbolts was a known prank of Erik.

A hard-core skeptic can doubt my honesty and competency and what can I say except that I believe these events are highly likely to be paranormal.

I’ll finish by reminding readers that one of Erik’s hallmark traits is harmless paranormal pranks. My story is one of so many.

Edit: The request for a prank was made while I for whatever hopeful reasons was using a ouija board by myself. Nothing happened at the time and I left the planchette in the middle. I waited to see if it would move. A day or two later I noticed the planchette a good foot or more away from the center spot where I left it. Being an open-minded skeptic myself, I assumed I must have done it somehow. (I live alone with no pets). Again I actually suspect this was paranormal but I’m cautious. So, there were probably actually three incidents.
