Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
For the record, the Republican party is about corporate, capitalist and elitist policy. There are no working class policies in the Republican party.
I don't particularly care what Republicans have to say because their agenda doesn't relate to me.
I can listen all I want, I hear the same tired corporate talking points and fear mongering.
I think it's safe to say if you're not in the top 1%, feel free to dismiss everything Republicans have to say.
Additionally, the only reason poor Americans vote Republican is because they're scared into it.
It's not the phony policies. Heck, the Republican base isn't aware of Republican policies.
Better than socialism and communism ideology.

Give me capitalism anytime. Well... most of the time anyway.

Socialism and communism aren't the same thing. Your media will teach you to believe that though.
FYI, private businesses aren't going anywhere.

But you're not a capitalist, you're in the 1%?
I have my own small business, would you consider me a capitalist? I don't.
Capitalism is putting greed and profit above people and society.
It's an immoral system.

Socialism is a precursor to communism. It always goes in that direction as freedoms and liberties are stripped away in favor of the state as it aquires state control over everything and anything an individual owns.

The nanny state is the ends and the means to do that.

Your first problem is thinking anyone is advocating for state control of everything. Don't fall for RW emotional swindles. The old 'slippery slope' conspiracy theory and talking point we get to experience from our brothers on the right.

The nanny state is the ends and the means to do that.
Stop falling for the emotional trickery. You sound paranoid, fearful and angry.
Welcome to propaganda victimhood. Don't be a victim of propaganda.

Take time to understand what propaganda is and why it's used in politics. Propaganda = Emotional trickery.
The RW newsmakers are well-versed in propaganda and know exactly how to tickle your brains to their immoral narrative.

No. I can't even park on my own lawn without the state ticketing me.

Do you think the regulations came about because of wrongdoing? Safety? Protecting neighborhood property values?

Regulations don't just exist by default, there's reasons over time that brings about regulations and safety laws.

So the real question is, what problem does the no parking on lawn regulation correct?

It's all about power and control in the name of the state.

That's a doomsday prepper sort of way of looking at it. Look at the reason why the ordinance was created for your specific area.
Not all areas share the same rules.

Even though it may be your private property, the city still has rights to it.

Not in a true free society it isn't. The state should have no rights whatsoever on any individuals property.

Eminent Domain however was the start of the end to that.

Excluding Native Americans of course as they lost theirs long before that nasty piece of legislation. They already know the consequences of having their property taken, controlled, and used for the state.

I would assume you don't pay your property taxes every year?

It's your own private property right?

So when exit polls show that, of voters who worked full time, the majority voted Republican, it would be because... why?

But I find your point of view interesting. What would you say is the most significant Republican policy that the Republican base is not aware of?

Listening to what other people say (even if you still disagree with them after hearing their argument) is in the spirit of democracy and an open mind. Ignoring people at the start and not even hearing their argument because you've already decided they are wrong is opposed to the spirit of democracy and an open mind. Do you disagree?

Finally, what is your take on the appointment of Harris to the border issue and her lack of either a visit to the border or the giving of a press conference? And would you describe her ignorance (of the right) as justified?

Ya but that's how it is everywhere. There's places you can move (Alaska) if you want more personal freedoms.
America gives you choices.
That's why my sister lives in Alaska.

Of course there are the bears.....
