That is rather sad. I have been hearing that the Republicans that should be the lunatic fringe have been winning the primaries this time around. It looks like about half of the Congress will be worthless idiots after this election.
Good riddance to an enabler of war crimes.

The problem is that her replacement will be even worse.
I have significant doubts that her replacement could do worse than support a war and promulgate pro-war messages in the media, but perhaps I'm too optimistic considering the abysmal state of the GOP.

Sadly it can always get worse. The next bunch will commit war crimes and try to put them to music.
President Trump never started any wars.

I think he was less hawkish than some of his predecessors, and I see that as one of his better traits.

Neither did Obama. But Trump appeared to be ready to do so.

They could start the next war inside the US.

So now Cheney goes back and continues to work on the Jan 6 committee and she doesn’t need to worry about running for re-election.
I think the live hearings are going to start up again soon.
Much of the new wave is isolationist, and has no interest in playing kingmaker across the globe.
I'm no fan of Liz Cheney's politics but she has what is obsolete to some: honor. She's a mensch (it's not a gendered word). And voting for a war is much much much less of a problem than those who would destroy America as a democracy by trying to steal elections, supporting and excusing a coup attempt (Jan 6) and so forth.
