Today is the day across Hinduism where all devotees and sishya who have a Guru celebrate that relationship. For others who celebrate, I hope and pray your relationship with your Guru is strengthened today.

Seats of authority for all sampradayas will celebrate is some sort of grander style, while devotees will celebrate it at home with some sort of Guru puja according to tradition.

May the Guru bless.

My husband, a friend, and I celebrated informally on Wednesday. (It was the only mutual time off both he and her had off of work.)

I've been doing a lot of thinking on gurus since. I haven't had one; I haven't even a formal tradition. But, still, I've learned from many... I'm trying to be more observant and seeing what I'm learning, and who is teaching, and taking a moment to be thankful for that.
