On this day in 2063, 42 (!!!) years from now, the first Warp 1 star ship will fly and the Vulcans will land

It clear this is real given the number of "UFOs" we've been seeing. Of course, some of that future history is wrong and it will turn out the Vulcans have been watching us for quite some time.

The nearest planet to Vulcan was first detected from Earth on stardate minus 324280. Vulcan s neighboring planet orbits the K_1 class star 40 Eridani A once every 42.378 Earth days. Vulcan Vicinus has 8.4 times Earth's mass. Travelling at warp one speed, travel time from Earth to Vulcan Vicinus takes 16.26 light years.. That planet receives approximately 9 times more stellar flux than Earth. Vulcan Vicinus' atmosphere consists primarily of steam and its mean surface temperature is 450 degrees Celsius', hot enough to melt lead.
