Thank you, everyone. It ended up being a nice day. I'm learning more and more who my real friends here are. I'm glad I went to work. My coworkers sang me Happy Birthday and get me a little cake. I share my Birthday with another guy in my department, and he's actually the first person I've met who shares my B-day (I also have a big crush on him, lol).
After work, I went drinking with a friend at a bar, and he paid for the drinks. It was a last minute thing. I'm grateful he made time for me.
I was disappointed in some people and kind of hurt, especially "old friends" who have known me for years but apparently don't really give a damn. Didn't say anything to me. But that's fine. I'll remember that.
