I've done that, too. But Cokes has a store on-campus -- it's just too easy, plus we get a hefty student discount. And last semester I ordered from Amazon...and got two books the last week of class

I always contacted the professor and ordered my books a few weeks before the class started.

I did that. Got the book lists, ordered the books ahead of time. Two of them didn't ship until the last week of class.I always contacted the professor and ordered my books a few weeks before the class started.
