does growth in the spirit imply growth in mindfulness?

1 Corinthians 2:16
For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Leave it to Paul to assume he has the mind of Christ.

So everything that seems right to him, that feeling of rightness, must have been sourced via God.

I'm more of the mind that there's no guarantee that your thoughts are necessarily right or wrong universally. What's right and wrong depends on your goals. As long as your thoughts are in align with your goals you will probably do ok.

In which case "right speech" may require the telling of a lie or two.

Yes. I do believe that they can be related, but not always. Maybe, it can work one way, but not the other way. So, growth in the spirit will result in growth in mindfulness, but growth in mindfulness will not always result in the spirit. It is as though, God is so very fair, but we are not.
