Grounding (wierd way)

Alrighty, Now I'm sure most of you know what grounding is. I was working with the spirits today and they had me do this grounding exercise to work with these underground (dwarf, kinda) spirits. I got into regular half lotus position, but instead of putting my hands on my lap, I put them palm down on the ground. Since its difficult for me to smell whats beneath the ground, I was able to sense them by grounding my hands into the earth. WOW!!!!!! Let me tell you, after about 45 minutes, it was alive. It was absolutely amazing. I tried it near a tree, and WOW!!!!! That tree never felt so alive. Even though I can smell the spirits, I am working on "feeling" them empathically. So this exercise was a great breakthrough. Just thought I'd share that.

That's a great exercise, Master Vigil! I appreciate the spirits sharing it with you and then you sharing it with us! (I'll have to try that tomorrow.)

Hi Master Vigil,
I have never put my hands directly on the soil to 'Ground', I do 'hug trees' - I find them wonderful. I will try the ground next time.:)

:) Thank you for sharing that Master V . Best of luck on developing your gifts .

A bit of a side note ... I had never even thought of " smell " before ? Strange that . I'll have to keep that in mind . :)

Yeah its wierd, I've never met anyone else that can do it. But since my spirit is half wolf, my best sense in the spirit world is my sense of smell. Odd yes I know. But its who I am. :)

Not odd at all, really...comparatively *grin*

I work best with the earth, so I always try to do work touching something - tree, earth, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love everything else - I just feel closest to the earth.

Congratulations on such a great experience!

I meant that it was strange that I hadn't thought of it before . :) Like I never thought about dreaming in colour untill someone asked .

We each are atoned to the " real " world in different ways . Some have an eye for detail . some an ear , why would the Spiritual be any different ?

:) Yes I do . I hadn't noticed untill some one asked though . Actually , I take special notice of dreams when one of my senses , like sound , are missing . I have found that they tend to have something for me , if that makes sense ? Perhaps it is just a way of getting my attention ?

I completely understand. I used to have dreams where I nobody could talk. Or atleast, they were, but nobody made any noise. The wierd part was we all understood what we were saying. That was a while back when the spirits were trying to get me to look beyond words.

My dreams are like that, Master Vigil - soundless, but I know what everyone is saying/thinking. I've had foreshadowing dreams. Those used to really freak me out.

I've never had a dream with sound (that I can remember)? Is that not normal? I often receive foreshadowing and have 1 reoccuring dream. It involves builing a flying device and gliding with a mouse.

Anyone have any exercises for Air based spiritualism?

You have never talked in your sleep SnaleSpace ? If so , I would assume that you were talking to something , and thus had sound in some form ?

I am now wondering what is " normal " for dreams . I have different " levels " of dreams . Some very life-like , with sound , feeling { touch } , and even smell and taste . Perhaps that isn't " normal " ? :)

I experience every sense, even to the point of textures, expecially with my sense of touch. but I never hear anything. It's like silent Virtual reality. When I communicate with people I just look at them and they look at me, and I... experience what they want to convey, and convey my message back in the same way.

There are certainly different levels of dreams.

I don't think there's any set pattern for dreams; I dream in colour, I talk to people (even in French, after all these years). I have dreamed of singing songs in a choir.

The most amusing dream of all was one I had when a friend of mine and I (in real life) were walking through the countryside. As we walked, I noticed a couple of girls coming towards us. When they were within sight, I noticed one was laughing like mad, pointing me out to her companion; I looked at myself, and I had 'fogotten' to dress. Immediately, I 'mentally' clothed myself, feeling very silly.................:D
