Revelations certainly feels appropriate. Although I don't think the seventh seal has been broken yet. :D

    Both choices could be....
    KJU because he's a socialist.
DT because he's proposing nation building in Venezuela.

    So pick yer poison.

Not one of the thread's polling options.

Then I humbly decline to lend my exalted wisdom to such a exiguous supposition.

It's ok. I've only read revelations once and that was one of the bits I could remember. its nothing more profound than that. :)

"When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence for half and hour." (Revelations 8:1)

Thank you for your reply. The silence apparently is connected to prayers in heaven - Revelation 8:3-4.
Revelation is written in very-vivid word pictures for us.
The burning issue, so to speak, is about God's Kingdom. The Kingdom government of Daniel 2:44 that Jesus instructed to pray ' thy or God's kingdom come....'. Come to bring the benefits of Revelation 22:2 to Earth.
That kingdom message is being proclaimed world wide on an international scale today as said at Matthew 24:14.
That good news message is a burning-stinging message to those against Jesus.
That is what I find is covered between Revelation chapters 8 and 9 leading up to the coming great tribulation of Revelation 7:14 before Jesus, as Prince of Peace, ushers in global Peace on Earth among people of goodwill.

Is it possible for you to support your assertions with reason, rather than references to a particular anthology of religious writings?

Jesus, I find, based his teachings using his logical reasoning on the religious writing of the old Hebrew Scriptures.
In other words, Jesus used logic and reason to support and reference his teachings.

Each time Jesus said, " it is written....." means there is a corresponding cross-reference verse or passage in the old Hebrew Scriptures. For example: Matthew 4:4 corresponds to Deuteronomy 8:3; Luke 4:12 to Deuteronomy 6:16.
At Luke 4:15-21 while reading in the synagogue Jesus referred to Isaiah 61.
So, by Jesus prefacing his statements with " it is written..." meant already written down in the old Hebrew Scriptures.

Referencing is not "logical reasoning." Referencing other writings just shifts the burden.

I could reference the writings of Tolkien, Confucius, Twain or Dawkins, but that wouldn't make my arguments logical and reasonable.
The old Hebrew scriptures don't support an argument unless said scriptures can, themselves, be shown to be accurate and true.
